The Volkswagen Tayron is a mid-size SUV developed by Volkswagen specifically for the Chinese market. Since its launch in 2018, it has become a mainstream model in its segment, renowned for its German engineering quality and well-balanced performance. Built on the MQB A2 platform, it shares its origins with the Tiguan L, offering both spacious flexibility and stable handling.
The all-new Tayron is available in two exterior styles: the standard version and the R-Line version. The R-Line variant features a blacked-out treatment, with its prominent grille lowered into the front bumper and complemented by a honeycomb mesh. The headlights are connected by a continuous daytime running light strip, incorporating an illuminated logo at its centre for a striking visual impact. The rear employs a full-width light bar, while the honeycomb grille on the bumper and concealed exhaust design accentuate its contemporary aesthetic.
The all-new Tiguan measures 4,684mm in length, 1,854mm in width, and 1,685mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,791mm. Compared to the previous generation, it is 91mm longer, 20mm taller, and boasts a 60mm longer wheelbase, delivering a more spacious and comfortable cabin.
Multiple powertrain options are available: the 300TSI variant features a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine delivering 160 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission; The 330TSI variant features a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine delivering 186 horsepower and 320 Newton metres of torque; The 380TSI variant features a 2.0T turbocharged engine delivering 220 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque, all paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Equipped with DJI Intelligent Driving System, supporting IQ.Pilot intelligent driving assistance functions including adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and emergency lane-change handling. Features Level 2+ autonomous driving technology, alongside one-touch automated parking and remote parking assist capabilities.
